Abstract:
Provided are a wireless apparatus capable of detecting a relay attack that impersonates a legitimate device by changing the phase of a received signal, and a method for controlling the wireless apparatus. The wireless apparatus includes: a transmission unit that transmits a signal to another device; a reception unit that receives a signal from the other device; a difference calculation unit that derives a first difference in a prescribed physical quantity per unit time of a signal having a prescribed frequency that is transmitted by the transmission unit to the other device, and, on the basis of the signal received by the reception unit, calculates a second difference in the prescribed physical quantity per unit time of a signal having the prescribed frequency that is received by the other device; and an assessment unit that compares the first difference and the second difference and performs an assessment process to assess the validity of the signal received by the reception unit.
