Abstract:
The present invention provides a wireless communication device installed in a vehicle, the wireless communication device being provided with: a wireless communication unit that performs wireless communication with a network; and a control unit that performs call origination to a public safety answering point (PSAP) via the network. The control unit performs first call origination to the PSAP when an emergency situation occurs, the control unit determines whether or not an abnormality exists in the call originated by the first call origination, and, in the case where an abnormality exists in the call originated by the first call origination, the control unit performs second call origination to the PSAP by using a different method from that of the first call origination.
