Abstract:
Provided is a highly convenient wireless communication device, which is applicable to both a HF-band RFID system and a UHF-band RFID system, and which has stable communication characteristics with less influence from the environment in which the wireless communication device is used. A wireless communication device (1) is provided with: a HF-band RFIC element (7); a UHF-band RFIC element (4); a coil antenna (8) connected to the HF-band RFIC element (7); a coupling section (5b) capacitively coupled to the coil antenna (8); and a matching section (5a) that matches the UHF-band RFIC element (4) and the coupling section (5b). The coupling section (5b) is disposed such that, in the coil axis direction of the coil antenna (8), the coupling section overlaps at least an outermost turn (8a) of the coil antenna (8).
