Abstract:
With an encryption key (PTK) that corresponds to the pre-change communication mode, this wireless communication device (1) encrypts a passphrase which is a character string used for authentication corresponding to the changed communication mode; the wireless communication device (1) sends the encrypted passphrase to a wireless communication device (2), and, from the passphrase corresponding to the changed communication mode, creates an encryption key (PTK) corresponding to the changed communication mode. The wireless communication device (2) receives the encrypted passphrase sent from the wireless communication device (1), decrypts said passphrase with the encryption key (PTK) corresponding to the pre-change communication mode, and, from the decrypted passphrase, creates an encryption key (PTK) corresponding to the changed communication mode.
