Abstract:

This wireless communication system is provided with a plurality of wireless devices. The wireless devices periodically sense for the occurrence of an event; and, when the wireless devices have sensed that an event has occurred, intermittently drive a transmitting means that transmits, in a transmitting period, a wireless signal corresponding to the event. The wireless devices repeatedly count the intermittent reception intervals, and start a receiving means in order to receive wireless signals every time counting of the intermittent reception intervals finishes. The wireless devices synchronize the count-finishing time with other wireless devices, the count-finishing time being when the next intermittent reception interval has finished being counted. Sensing for the occurrence of events by the wireless devices ends at a point in time representing a prescribed duration of time earlier than the count-finishing time. The wireless devices transmit a wireless signal corresponding to the event from the transmitting means in the transmitting period, which includes the count-finishing time.
