Abstract:
Provided are a wireless relay device and wireless communication method capable of preventing the degradation of wireless base station reception signals due to interference from the transmission waves of a service node at the time of inversion timing operations. This wireless relay device is equipped with: a base station side control unit (24) that operates at inverted timing and extracts reception power at a base station side communication unit (22) for received signals from a wireless base station that uses the same frequency as a terminal side communication unit (32), and the reception power is extracted from signals that the base station side communication unit (22) receives from a plurality of wireless base stations; and a terminal side control unit (34) that sets the transmission power for the terminal side communication unit (32). When the terminal side control unit (34) or the base station side control unit (24) detects a prescribed event, the terminal side control unit (34) obtains the reception power from the base station side control unit (24) and sets the transmission power of the terminal side communication unit (32) based on that reception power.
