Abstract:
The present invention relates to a data stream transmission device and reception device. Disclosed in the present specification is a wireless stream transmission device including: an encoder which is configured to encode input media to generate a compressed bit stream, generate additional information about the compressed bitstream, and generate a data stream DS including the additional information and the compressed bitstream, wherein the additional information includes class information that indicates the importance of the compressed bitstream; and a DS transmission unit which packs the data stream to generate a packet, transmits the packet to a wireless stream reception device on the basis of wireless communication, and retransmits, on the basis of the class information, at least some of the packets in which a transmission error has occurred. The present invention has the effect of enabling, in a wireless compressed transmission system that requires low delay performance, compressed stream transmission and decoding that are resilient against errors.
