Abstract:
A wireless tag communication system wherein a suitable control range of the communication directivity can be established. A reference tag (16), which sends, in response to a received signal, a predetermined reply signal so as to perform an informational communication with a wireless tag communication apparatus (12), is fixed in position within a room (18) that is a communication area of a wireless tag communication system (10). The wireless tag communication apparatus (12) has a transmission PAA weight control part (34) and a reception PAA weight control part (48) for controlling the directivity of communication with a wireless tag (14) or the reference tag (16). Since the transmission PAA weight control part (34) and reception PAA weight control part (48) control, based on a result of communication with the reference tag (16), the directivity of communication with the wireless tag (14), they can obtain a range related to the control of the communication directivity by performing an informational communication with the reference tag (16) disposed at a predetermined position in advance.
