The present disclosure relates to a WLAN communication method, a client, a computing device, and a storage medium. The WLAN communication method comprises: a client receiving a polling request message from an access point; the client checking whether the client itself is being polled; if the client is the polled client, transmitting a polling response message to the access point; the client entering a function execution time window, and executing a function during the function execution time window when reaching a moment at which one function is to be executed, wherein the function execution time window starts after the client transmits the polling response message and ends before the beginning of a retention time window, the retention time window starts at the beginning of a security time window and ends after the next polling response message is expected to be transmitted, and the security time window is a period which is not less than the execution time of the function to be executed before the beginning of the next polling period.
