Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to provide a work machine capable of shortening the time needed to search for a dropped component and a method for reporting a component drop area. The work machine has a control device comprising: a drop detection unit for detecting if a component has dropped from a pickup nozzle; a drop area estimation unit for estimating, in response to the drop detection unit detecting that a component has dropped, a component drop area, which is the area in which the component has been dropped, on the basis of the mounting head moving direction and the work position, which is the position of the mounting head, at the time the drop was detected; and a reporting unit for reporting the component drop area estimated by the drop area estimation unit.
