Abstract:
Provided is a hydraulic shovel including a controller that can control a work device using an excavation work control for causing a tiptoe of a bucket to move along a predetermined target surface and a leveling work control for causing the bucket to move along the target surface while maintaining the posture of the bucket with respect to the target surface, wherein: the controller calculates, on the basis of posture data and dimension data on a work machine and position data on the target surface, an arm tip deviation Dva that is the distance from the tip of an arm to the target surface; and the controller executes the leveling work control when the calculated arm tip deviation is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold dv1, when there is no input of a bucket operation for an operation lever, and when there is an input of an arm operation for the operation level, and otherwise executes the excavation work control.
