Abstract:
In the present invention, with regard to an object detected by an on-vehicle obstacle detection device, the type of the object is determined and the movement direction of the object is predicted on the basis of the detection result of the object; and on the basis of the type of and the movement direction of the object, information regarding the object that has been detected by the on-vehicle obstacle detection device and that has been determined to have moved outside the detection range of the on-vehicle detection device is immediately deleted from an environmental map. The foregoing makes it possible to suitably process information about an object that has gone outside the detection range depending on the cause therefor.
