Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to reduce a surface area occupied on a mounting surface by an air compressor without reducing the capacity of a tank. An air compressor 1 comprises: a motor 14 having an output shaft 14c extending in a horizontal direction; a first compressing unit 11 and a second compressing unit 12 which compress and discharge gas by means of a rotating motion of the output shaft 14c; and a plurality of tanks 50 into which the gas discharged from the first compressing unit 11 and the second compressing unit 12 flows. The number of the plurality of tanks 50 is at least three, and the plurality of tanks 50 are provided so as to surround the first compressing unit 11 and the second compressing unit 12 as seen in a vertical direction. Each of the plurality of tanks 50 has a shape having a length in the vertical direction that is greater than widths in front-back and left-right directions.
