Abstract:
Provided is a wound core for achieving low transformer iron loss and having excellent magnetic characteristics without the use of two or more kinds of raw materials of different magnetic characteristics. This wound core: is formed from a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet as a raw material; has planar sections and corner sections adjoining the planar sections; has a lap part in the planar sections; has bent parts in the corner sections; and in a side view, the ratio (outer perimeter/inner perimeter) between the outer and inner perimeters thereof is 1.80 or less. The grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet has a magnetic flux density B8 of 1.84 T to 1.91 T at a magnetic field intensity H of 800 A/m and has an iron loss deterioration rate of 1.50 or less under a predetermined compressive stress.
