Abstract:
Provided are a yaw brake block and a preparation method therefor, pertaining to the technical field of friction materials. The yaw brake block is mainly prepared from the following raw materials in parts by mass: 70-75 parts of polyether ether ketone, 10-20 parts of carbon fibers, 3-5 parts of glass fibers and 3-5 parts of graphite. The present invention alleviates the technical problems of easy rusting, damage to a mate plate, and harsh noises present with or caused by metal-based friction materials commonly used for wind turbine yaw brake blocks at home and abroad at present, and achieves the technical effects of not only greatly improving mechanical properties and high temperature resistance, but also greatly reducing the hardness of the yaw brake block, wear to a mate member, and noise pollution, and also improving the friction stability and working condition adaptability thereof, such that the requirements for the low-speed yaw braking of a wind turbine can be effectively met.
