Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a ZLD system which removes and concentrates an object component from a waste water that contains various object components including organic components and inorganic components, and which comprises efficient membrane concentration in comparison to conventional systems. [Solution] A zero liquid discharge system which is provided with: a biological treatment device that removes organic components from a waste water; a membrane pretreatment device that removes membrane clogging components; a reverse osmosis concentration device that obtains a concentrated water by means of a reverse osmosis method; a brine concentration device that obtains a further concentrated water by supplying some of the above-described concentrated water to a first chamber of a semipermeable membrane module, which has a semipermeable membrane and the first chamber and a second chamber divided by the semipermeable membrane, and supplying some of the above-described concentrated water to the second chamber, while applying a pressure so that the pressure within the first chamber is higher than the pressure within the second chamber; and a precipitation device that recovers a precipitate by heating and cooling the further concentrated water or evaporating water.
