Disclosed in the present application are a ZIF-8 material and a preparation system and a preparation method therefor, a monatomic catalyst, a battery separator and the use. The preparation system for the ZIF-8 material comprises metal ions, a ligand molecule and a solvent, wherein the metal ions are zinc ions, the ligand molecule is 2-methylimidazole, and the solvent is water; and in the preparation system, the molar ratio between the metal ions, the ligand molecule and the solvent is 1 : a : z, where 7
