Abstract:
The present invention provides: granules suitable for the production of a zirconia sintered body having high light transmittance and high strength and the production of a highly dense and uniform calcined body; a green compact; and methods respectively for producing the granules and the green compact. The present invention relates to granules which comprise zirconia, a stabilizing agent capable of inhibiting the phase transition of zirconia, and a binder, and have a compression ratio R calculated in accordance with formula (1) of 0.46 to 0.53 when the granules are filled in a columnar mold by tapping in accordance with JIS R 1628:1997, are then compressed by uniaxial pressing at a speed of 1 mm/sec, and are then pressurized to 33 MPa. R = (H-D)/H (1) (wherein H represents a height of the granules filled by tapping in the columnar mold before the pressurization; and D represents a strain amount required until the pressure reaches 33 MPa.)
