Provided are: a zirconia sintered body which can be used widely as a dental material, particularly a zirconia sintered body which can be used as both of a dental material for back teeth and a dental material for front teeth; and a method for producing the zirconia sintered body easily. A method for producing a zirconia sintered body, the method being characterized by comprising: a shaping step of shaping a powder composition to produce a shaped product, wherein the powder composition comprises a first zirconia powder having a yttria content of 2 to 4 mol% inclusive and a second zirconia powder having a yttria content of more than 4 mol% and equal to or lower than 6 mol%, and has a yttria content of more than 3 mol% and equal to or less than 5.2 mol%; and a sintering step of sintering the shaped product to produce a sintered body.
