Abstract:
Provided is glass that has excellent translucency, thermostability, and thermal shock resistance, and can be used as an alternative for Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 crystallized glass. This ZnO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass is characterized by containing 40-90 mass% SiO2, 5-35 mass% Al2O3, more than 0 but not more than 35 mass% ZnO, and 0-5 mass% Li2O+Na2O+K2O.
