Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a zonal compensation method and an electronic device. The electronic device comprises an application processor (AP) and a display screen, wherein the display screen comprises a display driver integrated circuit (DDIC) and a display panel; the AP is used for sending a first image and first compensation data to the DDIC; the DDIC is used for mapping a first grayscale of the first image to a second grayscale, and the second grayscale is less than the first grayscale; the DDIC is used for adjusting, on the basis of the first compensation data and the second grayscale, the brightness of a second image in a first display area of the first image; and the display panel is used for displaying, in the first display area, the second image with the adjusted brightness. By means of the present application, different display areas can be respectively compensated for, such that the aging compensation effect is better, for example, the problems of uneven light emission, low use efficiency, high usage power consumption, etc. are reduced, and the situation of an uneven aging degree of the display screen is effectively alleviated.
