Abstract:
The present invention is a zwitterionic compound represented by formula (I): R1 – A+ – X – SO3
–, and an ion conductor containing the zwitterionic compound. In formula (I), R1 represents a C2-20 group that has an ether bond and bonds with the nitrogen atom the A+ moiety (with the caveat that the atom that bonds with the nitrogen atom of A+ is a carbon atom), A+ represents a specific cationic group having a nitrogen atom, and X represents a C2-5 alkylene group that bonds with the nitrogen atom of A+. The present invention provides: a new zwitterionic compound having ion conductivity, good solubility in organic solvents, and a low glass transition temperature and melting point; and an ion conductor containing the zwitterionic compound.
