Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device which can quantitatively inspect an inner side shape of a wire in an in-line manner after the wire is saddle stitched in a saddle stitch bookbinding line, and which does not interfere with the inspection by causing erroneous detection, jamming and the like caused by paper dust from fold sections and mechanical oil content from gathering chains of a bookbinding machine.SOLUTION: A wire shape inspection device for a saddle stitch bookbinding machine is provided in a saddle stitch bookbinding machine, and in order to inspect a shape of a stitch wire 3 on the inner side of a booklet during bookbinding, is equipped with a measuring sensor 1 for measuring information regarding the height of the wire from a fold section paper surface of the booklet immediately after a stitcher 5 that punches the wire in the fold section, by using a laser beam and a light-section method. In the wire shape inspection device, an air blow unit 4 is provided, for supplying clean air 13 to an optical path of the laser beam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
