Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal short circuit simulation test method of a secondary battery capable of reproducing an internal short circuit caused by a foreign substance in a portion where a positive electrode and a negative electrode are opposed to each other.SOLUTION: The internal short-circuit simulation test method is for a secondary battery including: a core in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are alternately stacked with a separator interposed therebetween; a case in which the core can be stored; and an electrolytic solution filled in the case in which the core is housed. The internal short-circuit simulation test method includes a test battery manufacturing step, a test battery charging step, and an internal short circuit test step. In the test battery manufacturing step, a secondary battery for internal short circuit simulation test is manufactured by introducing a foreign substance wrapped with an insulating material capable of dissolving a substance causing internal short circuit between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. In the test battery charging step, a secondary battery for internal short circuit simulation test manufactured in the test battery manufacturing step is charged. In the internal short circuit test step, the positive electrode and the negative electrode are internally short-circuited with the substance causing internal short circuit by dissolving the insulating material in the secondary battery for internal short circuit simulation test charged in the test battery charging step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
