Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nano reinforcement filler material for epoxy resin for a composite structure.SOLUTION: A method includes a step of generating a polymer suspension of polymer nanoparticles suspended in deionization (DI) water, and a step of subjecting the polymer suspension to ultrasonic treatment. The method includes a step of generating a graphene oxide (GO) suspension of a GO sheet suspended in the DI water, and a step of subjecting the GO suspension to ultrasonic treatment. The method includes a step of mixing a polymer suspension subjected to the ultrasonic treatment and the GO suspension subjected to the ultrasonic treatment. The method includes a step of heating the mixture subjected to the ultrasonic treatment in an inert atmosphere at an effective temperature to obtain a nano reinforcement filler material containing polymer-GO core-shell nanoparticles using an electrostatic process by an electrostatic interaction reaction. The method includes a step of cleaning and drying the nano reinforcement filler material, and using the nano reinforcement filler material in an epoxy resin for a composite structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
