Abstract:
To provide an image formation apparatus which can inspect the state of a drive transmission member, predict a failure in advance, reduce the downtime, and reduce the cost and size of the apparatus.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus 1 includes: conveyance means 26, 29, 42 which convey a conveyance object medium P; drive means 45 which drives the conveyance means; drive transmission members 51, 53, 55 which transmit and shut down the driving force from the drive means with respect to the conveyance means; current detection means 57 which detects the current value of the drive means; and control means 56 which estimates the drive connection time C of the drive transmission members from the first time B in which the current value exceeds the first threshold A when the driving force is transmitted to the conveyance means by operating the drive transmission member from the state where the drive means is ON, and determines that the drive transmission member has the operation abnormality when the drive connection time exceeds the first prescribed value D.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
