Abstract:
To provide a small projector that efficiently cools an optical modulation device.SOLUTION: The projector includes: a first fan having an inlet for sucking air and an outlet to deliver air; a first flow passage 6Sa for guiding the air delivered from the outlet to an optical modulation device 34; a second flow passage 6Sb for circulating the air that cooled the optical modulation device 34; a third flow passage 6Sc for guiding the air circulating in the second flow passage 6Sb to the inlet; and a heat sink 512 for radiating heat in the third flow passage 6Sc. When a direction orthogonal to the optical axis direction of a projection optical device is regarded as a first direction and a direction orthogonal to the optical axis direction and to the first direction is regarded as a second direction, the first flow passage 6Sa is disposed on one side in the first direction with respect to the projection optical device, the second flow passage 6Sb is disposed on the other side in the first direction with respect to the projection optical device, and the third flow passage 6Sc is disposed on one side in the second direction with respect to the projection optical device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
