Abstract:
To provide a toner that is excellent in mechanical strength and charging property and has a small particle diameter with high production efficiency, in a concentration step of increasing a solid content ratio of the toner in an aqueous medium.SOLUTION: A method for producing toner particles includes a concentration step of increasing a solid content ratio of a toner in an aqueous medium with respect to a toner precursor containing a binder resin and a coloring agent and a toner precursor dispersion containing an aqueous medium, in which the concentration step is performed using a centrifugal separator, di- or higher metal ions are contained in the aqueous medium, a content concentration of the di- or higher metal ions contained in the aqueous medium is 4.0 mmol/L or more and 25.0 mmol/L or less, and when a ratio of the toner precursor in the toner precursor dispersion after the concentration step is represented by ratio A, the ratio A is 10 mass% or more and 60 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
