Abstract:
To realize a universal joint capable of interconnecting two long body covers with a variable angle while imparting a desirable strength without sacrificing the sensation of unity as a whole.SOLUTION: A universal joint 1 comprises: an outer side plate 2 hinged to outer connection ends, which are connection ends of outer cover side plates 70X; an inner side plate 3 to which inner connection ends, which are connection ends of inner cover side plates 70Y, are slidably connected; an outer section top plate 4 fixed to the outer side plate 2 in a cantilevered state; and an inner section top plate 5 fixed to the inner side plate 3 in a cantilevered state such that an inner top face part 51 overlaps an outer top face part 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
