Abstract:
To improve access performance.
Access information 500 on each logical disk device 200 is collected and the access information 500 is presented to a maintenance person through a SVP 111. When a rearrangement instruction 620 of the maintenance person is given, a physical disk device 105 is rearranged between two instructed logical disk devices 200 and all data is continuously restored. As a result, the logical disk device having high access frequency can be rearranged to a physical disk device having higher speed. The logical disk device having a higher sequential access ratio can be rearranged to a physical disk device having higher sequential access performance.
