Abstract:
The present invention relates in general to methods for generating and detecting recombinant DNA sequences in prokaryotic cells, in particular bacteria, by using two different extrachromosomal elements, in particular Saccharomyces cerevisiae and plasmids that can be used for conducting the inventive methods. DNA sequences for which these methods are relevant include protein-encoding and non-coding sequences.
