Abstract:
To protect an actuator when a terminal connected with the actuator is short-circuited with a power line having voltage higher than power supply voltage for driving the actuator.SOLUTION: An abnormal stop unit (S110 to S130, S150, S170 to S180, S200) stops all driver circuits used for driving an object actuator by using an actuator driven by a driver circuit in which excess current is detected as the object actuator when the excess current is detected in any of a plurality of driver circuits. A failure determination unit (S140, S190) determines whether or not a cause of the excess current is a short-circuit abnormality to a first power line of an output terminal. A failure suppression unit (S160, S210) stops all of the plurality of driver circuits when it is determined that the cause of the excess current is the short-circuit abnormality to the first power line by the failure determination unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
