Title:
ALUMINUM ALLOY FOR HEAT EXCHANGER FINS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2023061968
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide an aluminum alloy for heat exchanger fins which reduces the thickness of a fin material and allows the fin to have high conductivity and excellent corrosion performance.SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy fin stock material comprises about 0.9-1.4 wt.% of Si, 0.3-0.6 wt.% of Fe, 0.20-0.60 wt.% of Cu, 1.0-1.7 wt.% of Mn, 0.01-0.25 wt.% of Mg, 0.01-3.0 wt.% of Zn, and up to 0.10 wt.% of Ti, with the remainder being 0.15 wt.% or less of Al and impurities. The aluminum alloy fin stock material is produced by a process including the steps of: direct-chill-casting an ingot; hot-rolling the ingot after the casting; cold-rolling the aluminum alloy to an intermediate thickness; inter-annealing the cold-rolled aluminum alloy at a temperature of 200-400°C, and cold-rolling the material after the inter-annealing to achieve the % cold work (% CW) of 20-40%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
