Abstract:
To provide an Al-Si alloy die-cast casting high in density and having gas leakage resistance and oil leakage resistance more excellent than those of the conventional Al-Si alloy die-cast casting.
This Al-Si alloy die-cast casting is the one having a compsn. contg., by weight, 7.5 to 13.0% Si, ≥4.0% Cu, ≥1.3% Fe, 0.05 to 0.5% Ti, 0.0001 to 0.03% B, and the balance Al and the other required alloy elements with impurities, in which the maximum size of pores generated at the inside of the casting equivalent to a circle is regulated to ≤0.5mm, and the ratio of the density of the casting obtd. by die casting to that of the alloy (the density of the casting obtd. by die casting/the density of the alloy) is regulated to ≥0.99.
