Abstract:
To provide an anode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery, which has high capacity and high charge/discharge efficiency and is excellent in cycle characteristics.
The anode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery is characterized in that: it is composed of particles consisting essentially of silicon and containing at least 0.05 mass% or more of an element A; and an atomic radius rA of the element A satisfies a relation of |(rA-r0)/r0|≤0.1 with respect to an atomic radius r0 of silicon. A lithium ion secondary battery anode and a lithium ion secondary battery contain the anode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery, as an anode active material.
