Title:
APPARATUS FOR MEASURING RUNNING SPEED ON LANE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3051949
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the running speed of a running body accurately by providing the running body with a data transmitter/receiver for receiving an identification signal from a furlong station and transmitting a traveling signal to the furlong station.
SOLUTION: An access controller 2 disposed at each furlong station constantly transmits a start request carrier signal to a data transmitting/receiving section 5. When a race horse approaches a furlong station and the start request signal is detected, the transmitting/receiving section 5 responds with a start signal. Upon detecting the start signal, the controller 2 transmits a furlong identification signal. Upon receiving the furlong identification signal, the transmitting/receiving section 5 replies by transmitting a traveling signal obtained by adding a race horse identification code to the furlong identification signal returns back to the initial state. More specifically, when a race horse approaches a furlong station, signals are communicated between the controller 2 and transmitting/receiving section 5 and passage through each furlong station can be known and the running speed can be measured by measuring the data between respective stations at a time measuring section 3.
