Abstract:

To provide an image forming apparatus, an image forming system, and an image forming program, which can select a proper data backup destination when data are backed up.

The apparatus includes: a job receiving means for receiving an job; a data receiving means for receiving image data related to the job; a job storing means for storing information on the job and the image data; an inquiring means for inquiring remaining capacity of a storing means of other image forming apparatus to the other image forming apparatus, if remaining capacity of the job storing means is equal to or less than a predetermined value when the job is received by the job receiving means; a data backup control means for selecting the other image forming apparatus to which the image data are backed up, on the basis of the remaining capacity of the storing means of the other image forming apparatus obtained by the inquiring means; and a data backup means for backup of the image data to the selected other image forming apparatus.
