Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition which shows excellent adhesion not only to polyolefin substrates but also to other organic and inorganic substrates and which is excellent in resistance to (hot) water, resistance to oils and the like.
SOLUTION: A composition comprising (A) a chlorinated polyolefin having a degree of chlorination of 5-50 wt.%, (B) an organic solvent, (C) a vinyl-based monomer, (D) a surfactant, (E) water and (F) a polymerization initiator is emulsion polymerized or further desolvated after the emulsion polymerization. The composition preferably comprises 100-900 pts.wt. of (B) an organic solvent and 100-1,900 pts.wt. of (C) a vinyl-based monomer based on 100 pts.wt. of (A) a chlorinated polyolefin having a degree of chlorination degree of 5-50 wt.%.
