PURPOSE: To avoid the malfunction in an assured way by introducing the video detection output to the sweep control circuit, detecting the best signal between the video carrier frequency of the upper channel and the aural carrier frequency of the lower side and then continuing the sweep while the detection output exists.

CONSTITUTION: The clock pulse given from clock pulse generating circuit 12 is supplied to counter 11 via AND circuit 13, and the start/stop of counter 11 is controlled by FF14. Then the counter output receives D-A conversion 16 and is then applied to tuner 1 as the preset voltage. On the other hand, the AFT output given from AFT circuit 17 is sent to formation circuit 18, where the AFT command pulse is formed in accordance with the reception pulse to control counter 11. Then the video detection output is led to sweep control circuit 20 to detect the beat signal between the video carrier frequency of the upper channel and the aural carrier frequency of the lower channel. And the sweep is continued while the detection output exists, thus avoiding the malfunction assuredly.
