Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform wide-range roll control covering an altitude and a speed by using an airframe motion sensor unit consisting of an accelerometer and rate detecting sensor for detecting the acceleration and angular speed of an airframe, a digital computer, and control servo devices. CONSTITUTION:The airframe motion sensor unit 1 consisting principally of the accelerometer and rate detecting sensor for detecting the acceleration and angular speed of the airframe in three axial directions. The digital computer 2 performs the altitude angle calculation, speed vector calculation, and control compensation of the airframe on the basis of said angular speed and acceleration to output a roll control command signal. A couple of control servo devices 3 each consist of an angle detector for measuring the steering angle of a steering wing 4, an electronic control compensating circuit, servo amplifier, and actuator, and the steering wings 4 in a couple are driven in the opposite directions by as much as a roll steering command signal calculated by the digital computer 2. Those are utilized to the wide-range roll control covering the altitude and speed.
