PURPOSE: To enable a series of rice boiling processes to be almost full-automatically carried out by composing a rice cooking device of a metering tank, washing device, rice boiling pot having a heating device and cooling device and a control device for operating partially or wholly automatically the respective devices.

CONSTITUTION: Since a washing device 3 is of a circulation type, rice is passed through polishing blades 14 → roll 15 → cylinder 16 in a washing section, and polished while circulating from a reflux pipe 8 to the polishing blades 14. Next, after a water supply valve 10 is opened to pour water, it is again closed to again stir and wash the mixture of the rice and water. While the rice is washed and the washing water is drained, a finished rice outlet valve 21 is opened after the last drainage of the washing water so that the polished rice is scattered and supplied into a rice boiling pot 5 through a transfer pipe 23 and swingable transfer pipe 24 by the oscillation of the swingable transfer pipe 24. Before the completion of the rice transfer, a water supply valve 10 is opened to supply the last washing water into the washing device 3 and complete the washing operation. The remaining rice in the transfer pipe 23 is drained completely with the water poured into the washing device 3 to close the finished rice outlet valve 21 after the completion of the drainage while a device 28 for operating a lid 26 is operated to operate links 27a, 27b for closing the rice boiling pot 5.
