Title:
AXIAL AIR GAP BLUSHLESS MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3254130
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove torque harmonics and easily realize mutual connection of the necessary windings by providing a winding pattern for generating a torque function which is distributed in the shape of a sine wave to an axial air gap brushless motor.
SOLUTION: An axial air gap brushless motor comprises a rotor 16 having a plurality of permanent magnetic poles, a plurality of conductive layers and a stator 12 having a connecting layer for connecting the conductive layers. A motor is operated by energizing the conductive layers with a 3-phase current. The current increases a magnetic field of a conductor and its magnetic field mutually operates in combination with the magnetic field of a permanent magnet. Magnets 18a, 18b are separated with each other to make smallest the torque ripple by minimizing odd number harmonics.
