Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball and underground type fire hydrant provided with a built-in air valve.
SOLUTION: (A) A valve element 12 rotates in a valve casing 1, wherein second circulation holes 15 are formed on an upper and a lower side walls in a state that communication from a lower part to an upper part of the valve casing is closed. (B) A guide member 17 is provided inside the second circulation hole 15 on the upper side wall of the valve element 12 in the closed state, wherein communicating holes 21 are formed on a lower end and a side face. (C) A float valve element 18 is stored in the guide member 17 so as to vertically move corresponding to water quantity. (D) A free valve element 19 is arranged over the float valve element 18 so as to be stored in the guide member 17, and can move vertically in accordance with the float valve element 18, wherein exhaust holes 23 and 25 are formed so as to be opened/shut by the float valve element 18. The free valve element 19 goes down lower than the communication hole 21c on the upper side face of the guide member 17 so as to exhaust air outside through the communication hole 21c.
