PURPOSE: To reduce required time, make carrying convenient without providing any driving means to the coffer body and make mounting and dismounting easy by collectively taking in at one time the banknotes having been temporarily deposited and stored on a stack with the customer's approval signal.
CONSTITUTION: A coffer body 1 is set to a depositing machine body 7. Depositing work progresses and the banknotes fed by the customer are examined in the examination device. Those which are genuine are temporarily deposited on a stack 2. Following to this, the customer's approval signal causes the shutter 3 of receiving inlet 1a to open and at the same time causes a conveying means 2a to actuate. The banknotes M are then collectively put into the coffer body 1 at one time and are held between a feed-in roller 4 and an oscillating roller 13. At this time, the oscillating roller 13 moves vertically according to the thickness of the banknote quantity. The banknotes M next go under the bottom surface of a belt 17 by being fed with the feed-in roller 4 and are then sent onto the bottom plate 21a of a bawknote holding member 21 along the bottom face of a force- in roller 10. The holding member 21a lowers as much as for the thickness of the banknotes M. When the coffer body 1 becomes full of the banknotes M, it is removed from the depositing machine body 7.
