Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a bar stock having a plane part or a curved surface part by rolling.SOLUTION: By holding and rolling a base material W1 with a die 1A provided with an initial section having protrusions for excess metal extrusion and a face formation section which is arranged at a position where the base material passes after the initial section, has protrusions for face formation and has a ridge part formation part between the protrusions for face formation, the base material W1 rolls from the protrusions for excess metal extrusion in the initial section to the protrusions for face formation in the face formation section, and thus, plane parts are formed on an outer periphery of the base material W1, and a boundary part between respective plane parts of the base material W1 is pressure-welded to the ridge part formation part, thereby forming four ridge parts on the base material W1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
