Abstract:
To accurately calculate the charge reserve amount of a negative electrode while suppressing the calculation amount in a cell system equipped with a nickel-metal hydride battery.SOLUTION: An ECU 100 executes a process of calculating the discharge reserve amount, and a process of calculating the charge reserve amount by subtracting the positive electrode capacity and the discharge reserve amount from the negative electrode capacity. The process of calculating the discharge reserve amount includes a process of calculating the discharge reserve increase amount using a model. The model includes a model indicating the amount of increase for each battery temperature by multiplying the square root of an elapsed time by a coefficient for each battery temperature. Then, the process of calculating the discharge reserve increase amount includes a process of calculating a value calculated this time by adding the previously calculated value to a value obtained by dividing the squared value of the above coefficient according to the battery temperature by the value obtained by doubling the previously calculated value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
