Title:
BEARING STRUCTURE OF SINK ROLL FOR HOT DIP COATING LINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3114839
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the sliding area of a sleeve for supporting a sink roll and bearing parts and to prevent generation of rubbing flaws on product surfaces by providing the sleeve and the bearings with tapered surfaces on both sides in the axial direction thereof in such a manner that the axial length is shorter on the contact surface side.
CONSTITUTION: The sleeve 4 for supporting the sink roll 2 and the bearing parts 5 are provided with the tapered surfaces 4a, 5 on both side thereof in their axial direction in such a manner that the axial length is shorter on the contact surface side in order to make the axial length of the contact parts of the sleeve 4 and the bearings 5 coincide with each other. Since the axial lengths in the contact parts of both are equal, the grooves by wear do not arise even if the wear is generated between the sleeve 4 and the bearings 5 according to rotation of the sink roll 2. As a result, the sliding resistance is suppressed and the rotation defect of the sink roll 2 is prevented. The good- quality products free from the rubbing flaws of the roll are thus obtd. and the life of the in-bath plating machines is prolonged.
