Abstract:

To provide a photocatalyst support member having sufficient oxidizing power and improved fixing property of titanium oxide particles.

A ceramic plate is obtained by adding water to titanium dioxide particles and porcelain clay, kneading and firing at ≤800°C. A binder for coating prepared by pulverizing the ceramic plate with a treating water is applied on the surface of the support member. The member is dried with the irradiation with light and coated with a glaze for coating which is prepared by adding titanium dioxide into water.
