Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biodegradable molding excellent in mechanical strengths, weather resistance and biodegradability by molding a polyester composition prepared by mixing an aliphatic polyester resin with polycaprolactone.
SOLUTION: This molding is prepared by melt-molding a polyester resin composition prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. aliphatic polyester resin having a number-average molecular weight of 30,000-1,000,000 with 1-20 pts.wt. polycaprolactone having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000-200,000. It is also possible to prepare this molding from a mixture containing at least 20wt.% this composition and other biodegradable resin component or inorganic substances.
