Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asymmetric synthesis catalyst having higher activity in order to obtain optically active compounds useful as a synthetic intermediate for medicines, agrochemicals and the like.
SOLUTION: The objective compound is a bisisoxazoline derivative represented by general formula [I] (R is H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aralkyl which may be substituted, or an aryl which may be substituted; the four Rs may be all identical or at least one may differ from the others; R' is a single bond or an alkylene). In a preferred embodiment, all of the Rs are Hs or methyls and R' is methylene. In addition, an optically active bisisoxazoline derivative of formula [I] is provided as an asymmetric synthesis catalyst and the asymmetric synthesis catalyst is the complex of the optically active bisisoxazoline derivative of formula [I] including a transition metal as a ligand.
